Home Care Aides (Private Duty)

The University Hospitals Home Care Private Duty service provides skilled and non-skilled homecare for adult clients from 2 to 24 hours a day, up to 7 days a week.  Everyone needs a little extra help at some time.  The private duty service is an affordable solution to individuals or couples who prefer to stay at home and receive quality care at minimal disruption to their lifestyle.

Rehabilitation Services

University Hospitals Home Care offers comprehensive rehabilitation services including Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy.  Our primary goal is to help patients of all ages achieve an optimal level of functional independence.  Our therapists and social workers work in collaboration with physicians and other members of the homecare team to make this goal a reality.

• Physical Therapy: Improving the body by building strength, improving mobility and developing greater confidence through special exercises and physical training.
• Occupational Therapy: Assisting patient to become as independent as possible in daily living skills such as dressing and bathing through special exercises and activities.
• Speech Therapy: Helping patients develop skills that enable them to think and express themselves more clearly. Speech Therapy also helps patients with swallowing disorders and can teach specialized exercises and training to swallow safely.

Infusion

Home infusion therapy allows patients to receive vital fluids and medications without the inconvenience or costs of a hospital visit. University Hospitals Home Care provides customers with more than simply the right product at the right time; we proved the training and services to ensure your loved one the highest quality care.  The advantage of home infusion therapy is the ability to recover in your own home.

The University Hospitals infusion team works closely with the physician, patient and caregiver to provide drug therapies and support to help the patients resume normal activities sooner and with fewer restrictions. Diagnoses commonly requiring infusion therapy include serious infections, cancer and cancer-related pain, stomach or digestive problems, heart failure, immune disorders, growth hormone deficiencies and more.
