Testimonials
"After multiple surgeries on my foot, I came home from the hospital in a wheelchair. I was on IV antibiotics and could barely take a few steps with a walker because of the pain and how unstable I was. The nurse and therapist who came to our home were wonderful.
My nurse was kind and knowledgeable, checked and cleaned my wounds, explained everything that she was doing, and then showed my husband, son, and daughter how to change my dressings and monitor my medications. She gave everyone a telephone number so that we could call anytime of the day if we had any concerns.
The therapist was firm and funny. She made me move when I didn’t want to. She demonstrated the exercises and then made sure I was doing them correctly. She pushed me to work harder than I liked, continually changing the exercises as I progressed. I know I got better more quickly because she was adamant and persistent.
The wound specialist at homecare suggested a new type of dressing that my surgeon was not familiar with. He gave my nurse permission to use it and was so pleased with the results he said he was going to use it for all of his patients.
I’d recommend UH home care to anyone. I was walking and active again in two months, thanks in large part to their excellent care."
